All about the food industry
The food industry is one of the biggest industries in the world. It’s only logical for it to be that way, since we all need food, and we need it on a daily basis. But this industry has become one of our biggest problems as well. Manufacturers have started putting a lot more stress of quantity, all the while ignoring the quality of the products they make. Fortunately, there are companies that care about the wellbeing of their consumers. In the following few paragraphs, we’re going to talk about both the big brands and the manufacturers that keep quality in mind.
There are thousands of food and beverage manufacturers, but only a certain number of them could be called the giants of the food industry. Examples include Associated British Foods, Groupe Danone, General Mills, Kellogg Co. and Mondelez International.
Although you may not know them by name, these companies control the production of a very high percentage of food that’s available to the average consumer. If you have milk, oil, cereal, chocolate snacks or dairy products stored somewhere in your house, chances are you’re buying their products on a regular basis. Since they’re so big and omnipresent, these companies influence the way some very important issues are being resolved. Also, they can afford to manufacture products of a lower quality, as opposed to companies that live off their reputations.
Another type of food and beverage manufacturer is a company like the Pastificio Rana, a company run by the Giovanni Rana and his family, specialized in making pasta and pasta sauces. Although they’re technically a part of the food industry, they operate on a much smaller scale and have to take great care of their reputation. Pastificio Rana’s marketing efforts and their customers’ satisfaction is at the top of their list, which is why they need to make sure all their products are of the highest quality. This is the only thing that separates them from all the other brands that offer the same type of products. It’s also the only thing that makes them the choice of consumers who are not as interested in the price as in the quality of a product.
