2011 Summer Workshop Series: Cost Analysis Tool For Rural Wastewater Needs

Are you the manager of a small local government who thinks your community can’t afford wastewater treatment, or are you planning to expand your wastewater service area?  Are you a regional planner with communities in your region in need of advice and guidance regarding what type of wastewater infrastructure would meet the communities’ visions?  Or are you an economic developer who wants to examine the cost of wastewater treatment options for your community?  At each workshop, cooperative extension agents and engineers will explain the various technologies available for wastewater treatment. Then you'll learn about a dynamic spreadsheet that can estimate costs for the different technologies and show how those costs vary in response to changing circumstances. This easy-to-understand presentation will include a demonstration of the spreadsheet using examples provided by workshop participants.  Join us in one of five locations starting June 1st.  For more information click here.
